The big arm from across the diamond, the towering home run at Coors Field, the four-hit game vs the Giants in 2025, Ronny Mauricio has shown signs of the player he can become, and he has shown them loud.
What he hasn’t shown yet is consistency, and for a player this young, that might be perfectly normal.

Mauricio has been a big talking point in the Mets’ farm system the last four years. While players have debuted and had their moments like Mark Vientos in 2024, Francisco Alvarez in 2024 and 2025, one player who perhaps has more potential than all, just hasn’t put it together.
However, this could be a great thing for the Mets.
